Don’t Let Your Business Run You

There is no denying that running a business is a challenging task.

At times it can be consuming and exhausting, but what comes with that is an immense feeling of satisfaction and reward – which makes it worth it, right?!

Familiar words we hear from our clients when we first meet them are “I struggle to find the balance between work and life” because let’s face it, when you are passionate about something and you enjoy it, it’s hard to not want to do it all the time.

Here’s how to not let your business run you.

⚪ Use alarms to remind you to walk away from a task and take a break. Once a day – you set the boundaries. This can be for a minimum of 20 minutes at a time. It’s proven that adding breaks into your working day helps you to maintain a clear perspective.

⚪ During the Christmas break, try to make a list of all the possible tasks you can outsource. Some examples are business and personal admin, social media, copy writing, marketing and general comms for your business.

⚪ Leave your phone downstairs when heading to bed. Associate going to bed with a relaxing, screen-free time. Or alternatively, turn your phone off at 6pm and turn it on at 8:30am. This is a great way of isolating the necessary time to wind down and relax.

⚪ Finally, give us a call. 📞 Hiring a Virtual Assistant might just be the very best thing you do for yourself in 2023.
